This Sunday the UFC is making it’s debut on the Versus network with a stacked card. Whose main & co main events have clear title implications for both the light heavy and heavyweight divisions. And here we go with the picks:

* Jon Jones vs. Brandon Vera – Tough call, even with the meteoric rise of Bones Jones despite his first “loss” this fight is easily his biggest and most difficult test of his skills so far. Vera also coming off a questionable defeat is going into this fight with renewed vigor. I’ve been going back and forth on this fight for weeks. Vera won the coin toss but I still can’t shake the feeling that Jones is going to pull off another highlight reel performance. So heres my official pick: Vera by hard fought decision.

* Junior Dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga – All aboard the JDS Express, Gabe’s been out boxed before and I see it happening again in brutal fashion: Junior by brutal TKO stoppage.

* Paul Buentello vs. Cheick Kongo – Word on the webs is that Buentello has been in Colorado for the past month getting some high altitude training. So The Headhunter will weather the early storm and if he can get past that, I see his training paying off: Paul via KO

* James Irvin vs. Alessio Sakara – I make it a habit never to pick fighters who have been out of action over a year recovering from injuries. On top of that Irvin has a new weight cut to deal with so I have Sakara taking the W: Sakara via TKO
